PermitWiz generates advisory reports ("Reports") intended to help architects, contractors, and developers identify potential compliance issues before submitting plans to local permitting authorities.
PermitWiz Reports are pre-screening tools only. They do not constitute official code review, compliance certification, permit approval, legal advice, or professional engineering or architectural opinions. A PermitWiz Report does not replace review by any local authority having jurisdiction (AHJ), licensed architect, licensed engineer, or attorney. Local permitting authorities make all final compliance determinations. Clearance makes no guarantee that a project which receives a favorable PermitWiz Report will be approved by any government entity, nor that all code violations or compliance issues have been identified.
Nothing in a PermitWiz Report or on the PermitWiz website constitutes legal, architectural, engineering, or other professional advice. You should always consult with qualified, licensed professionals regarding your specific project. Clearance is not a licensed architecture firm, engineering firm, or law firm.
PermitWiz uses AI analysis and publicly available code databases that are updated periodically. While we strive for accuracy, we do not warrant that Reports are error-free, complete, or current. Local codes and ordinances are subject to change, interpretation, and amendment. AI analysis may produce false positives, false negatives, or misinterpretations. You are solely responsible for verifying all findings with the relevant local department or licensed professional before relying on them.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Clearance, its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenue, whether incurred directly or indirectly, arising from your use of or reliance on any PermitWiz Report. Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific Report giving rise to the claim.
Due to the instant-delivery nature of PermitWiz Reports, all sales are final once a Report has been generated. If you experience a technical issue that prevents Report delivery, contact support@permitwiz.ai within 7 days for a full refund.
All content, branding, software, and methodologies associated with Clearance and PermitWiz are the property of Clearance, LLC. Reports are licensed to you for your internal use in connection with the project for which they were generated. You may share Reports with your project team, clients, and local authorities.
We collect the information you provide (address, project details, email, uploaded plans) solely to generate your PermitWiz Report and deliver it to you. We do not sell your personal information. Uploaded plans are processed for analysis and are not retained beyond 30 days after Report delivery. Payment processing is handled by Stripe, Inc. and is subject to Stripe's privacy policy.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Louisiana, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts located in Orleans Parish, Louisiana.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of PermitWiz after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Material changes will be communicated via the email associated with your account or prominently on our website.
